We sang at St Leonard's Shoreditch yesterday to commemorate the life and achievements of our founder MD Michael Keyte who, sadly, died last year. As well as two sets from the choir, there were four soloists from young piano pupils Luke, Eliana, Connie and Selene and organ solos by Michael's college friend Bryan Gipps. The choir was conducted by Merel and there were three short speeches by Bob, David and Michael. Refreshments, including some super cakes by Jenny and others were provided by church volunteers.
This website has today been reorganised and there's a new page called NEW MEMBERS and a new contact email address TransportChoirLondon@gmail.com.
At the recent AGM, John Barry was presented with a gift and thanked for his two years in the chair (which probably felt like a decade) and Bob Aley succeeds him, continuing also as Librarian. Susan Gilbert stood down as Secretary but will continue to produce the programmes for St Martin-in-the-Fields - thanks to her. Catherine will be the Secretary, looking after membership as well. Michael continues as Treasurer and Webmaster. New and continuing committee members are Fiona, Gabi, Jenny, Sam and Zena.
