What a brilliant rehearsal just now! As final arrangements are being made for next Monday’s gig at City Hall we worked through the Abba Medley, polished off Proud Mary and then reprised We will Rock You. All but two of our singers for Monday were there and we had a brilliant session. The tenors and basses were promoted to the front row / put under closer supervision (delete as appropriate) and as AmyBeth said later on WhatsApp
'Brilliant rehearsal guys! It’s sounding really fabulous! All your practising is paying off! Happy conductor.' Note to singers - practise singing in a less posh English / Welsh / Scottish accent for Saderdai.

Ok! So our plan is -
Stand by me ABBA medley Break We will rock you Proud Mary Blame it on the Boogie Stand by me reprise AmyBeth Yesterday we learned Stand by me (as featured in 'that wedding') from scratch and we're almost performance ready. We also refreshed We will Rock You.
On Tuesday 19 February we plan to sing: Proud Mary warm up This is me Wade in the water Blame it on the Boogie- sing through Then on Tuesday 26 February the programme is Proud Mary Stand by me Wade in the water- clean ups We're planning an extra rehearsal on Saturday 2 March Our gig is on Monday 4 March at City Hall - more details to follow. Michael At our rehearsal on Tuesday we learned We will rock you by Queen for our IWD event on 4 March. This Saturday we will be working on a well-known spiritual called Wade in the Water. And maybe revising some of the other pieces we've tackled this term. MP3s are being added to our 'Choir Resources' page as they become available.
