Looking forward to tonight's rehearsal at 55 Broadway. It's always a pleasure to get together and sing with friends (and hopefully some new singers) after a break and this evening will be no exception, I hope. Bob (our librarian) has emailed us all to say that we're starting this 'term' by revising four old faithfuls - Going Underground, Continental Railroad, National Express and You’ll never walk alone. These will probably be in our singing list for our Make Music event on Thursday 21 June at the Jubilee Line Station at Canary Wharf. Behind the scenes the committee has been working on our next concerts and other events - more details later, balancing our books for the year end accounts, and complying with new legislation about data protection. And updating this website. One anniversary occurs today - the Jubilee Line opened on this day in 1979. Here's the publicity picture! I think they were a bit hard on the Bakerloo Line and of course the extension via Canary Wharf wasn't even on the drawing board then.
