Belshazzar's Feast at the Royal Festival Hall

Choir member Maddy Corper sang soprano with Barts Choir at the Royal Festival Hall last Friday. Your LTC correspondent was there in the stalls and reports that it was an exciting performance of a work he had sung before but never heard live. Barts Choir, accompanied by the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Ivor Setterfield, also performed Parry's I Was Glad, Respighi's Pines of Rome, and Ravel's Daphnis and Chloé. Maddy said that it was 'amazing to sing such big works'.
